SunnComm Licenses CD-3™ and MediaClôQ™ Technology to Nashville Label
Sunbird Records To Enhance Future Album Releases With SunnComm’s CD-3 Technology

Phoenix, AZ. – January 18, 2002 - Today SunnComm, Inc. (SUNX:OTC) announced a formal licensing agreement with Nashville´s Sunbird Records, a subsidiary of Cayenne Entertainment. This Authorized Content Provider agreement will cover the commercial use of SunnComm’s CD-3 “Expanded Experience” and MediaCloQ Digital Content Cloaking Technologies.

Sunbird´s president, Nelson Larkin said, “The feedback from consumers on the Len Doolin product, using SunnComm’s newest technology, has been very positive. The artists on our label have seen the product and want to use CD-3 for all their upcoming releases. This formal licensing agreement for the use of SunnComm technology enables the artists we represent to produce their albums in a format that is appealing to their fans.”

Peter H. Jacobs, SunnComm’s chief executive officer, stated, “Our first product trial with Sunbird Records has been very well received. Len Doolin’s album, “Once in a Lifetime” has paved the way for commercial use of SunnComm’s CD-3 Technology. The potential our technology has to promote inter-activity between the consumers and the artist community is spectacular.”

Nelson Larkin continued, “Now we can move forward and begin deployment of SunnComm’s CD-3 technology for our artists. Next to include CD-3 technology is Earl Thomas Conley. Mr. Conley has the distinction of being the first artist in music history to have four number-one hits from one album.”

Sunbird also represents up-and-coming country music star, Len Doolin. Doolin´s latest CD-3 album release, "Once in a Lifetime," is currently available nationwide. The album features his top-40 hit single, “Breakin’ What’s Left of My Heart” as well as his newly released song, “There Aint No Yellow in the Red, White, and Blue.”
SunnComm, Inc. (SUNX:OTC) is a leader in digital content enhancement for optical media utilizing the company’s MediaClôQ suite of products. The SunnComm MediaClôQ technology was utilized by Music City records when their album, ”Charley Pride - A Tribute to Jim Reeves” became the first commercially available ”protected” audio CD in America. That album is available at retailers around the world. SunnComm develops proprietary (patents pending) software applications designed to enhance digital intellectual property on optical media.
