My orders to GITMO were cancelled last month...which in a way i'm happy about now. I have now been placed on a navy individual augmentee assignment list which can get activated at anytime. Places like Africa, Gitmo, Bahrain, and Italy are all in need of sailors. The problem which got my orders cancelled was the fact that I was a "IT" Information Systems Technician, for those unfamiliar with that term. My rate, "IT" requires a IA assisment to be rate specific. The orders I was given were not. They only required any E-5, vice any e-5/IT. So they cancelled my orders which really pissed me off at the time. unfortunately I have no clue when/if i'll be leaving, my life is in the Navy's hands lol...this sucks but hey, I signed up for it.

P.S....the pay I would of recieved down there in Cuba would of been out of this world...although i'm a relatively new dad, I still wanted to go so I could save enough money so I didn't have to Re-Up...the way WNBD is trading...my decision will be coming sooner than later lol...Let's GO!
