Back by popular demand ~ Volume 2 of Who Moved My Medical Waste

The main question "Who Moved My Cheese?" is left unanswered, and the book is often criticized as a patronizing book that educates followers, not leaders: Out of at least three options

1. to search and chase after new cheese

2. to make the cheese yourself

3. to move the cheese away from the refrigerators of others

only the first – and most passive – option is discussed. There are many alternative viewpoints on the Cheese story. I for one, have a Medical Waste Interpretation, which we have all had a little fun with over the past two weeks.

If you would, for a second, humor me one more time; As mentioned in our previous Who Moved My Medical Waste fable, to search and chase after new cheese requires adaptation to ones environment and changing landscape. Relative to Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) and confidential documents, one could say The MedClean System is to hospitals medical waste streams, as the disappearing cheese was to The Cheese Story. When a hospital chooses autoclave technology to treat medical waste and shredder technology to destroy confidential documents, the hospital, for lack of a better word is Chasing after new Cheese.

Let's look at the fabled part of the story that is evidently not looked at. To Make Cheese for yourself means you are probably pretty self-sufficient, still adapting to the changing environment, but self-sufficient nonetheless. Again, The MedClean System is to hospital medical waste, as making your own cheese would be for The Cheese Story. When a hospital chooses to treat three waste streams, on site, with a MedClean System, they are, for a lack of a better word, Making their own Cheese.

Now, this last one gets tricky; To Move Cheese away from the refrigerators of others, perhaps, relative to Regulated Medical Waste (RMW), we need to play with this story a bit. On one side of the table, we have Stericycle, an enormous medical waste hauling company that, for years, has been the refrigerator storing and handling all of the cheese, and on the other end, lil' ole' MedClean Technologies, has been moving the cheese one piece at a time away from it. Hospital Executives are realizing the importance of implementing alternative methods of treating, handling, and disposing of regulated medical waste and destroying confidential documents than their current practice.

NOW is the time to start moving the Cheese away from other refrigerators, make it yourself, and seek out the fresh, clean alternatives.

Kind Regards,
