First Canadian American Holding Corporation (OTC: FCAH) announced Thursday that it has completed its joint venture agreement with Terrablock, Inc. of Orlando, Florida. The joint venture will allow First Canadian to enter the housing and low-grade toxic waste storage markets. The company's goal is to build First Canadian into the industry leader in the low cost housing markets and low-grade toxic storage business in selected regions around the world utilizing the technology of Terrablock, Inc.

Home Depot Incorporated (NYSE: HD) shares slid 1.21% yesterday to come to a closing price of $41.69 per share. Company Chairman Richard Nardelli stated on Thursday that the firm will add new stores in 2005, and the people of China will become familiar with those sprawling, orange-adorned structures. Speaking to the home improvement retailer's annual investor conference Thursday, the CEO said the firm's focus will continue to be twofold: growth and store modernization.

Centex Corporation (NYSE: CTX) shares gained 2.51% Thursday, closing out at $59.20 per share. On Wednesday, Thomas J. Fischer was named Senior Vice President and National Title and Escrow Operations Manager of Commerce Title Company, a subsidiary of Centex. He will oversee day-to-day title and escrow operations nationwide.

CB Richard Ellis Group Incorporated (NYSE: CBG) shares fell 0.41% yesterday to finish at a share price of $33.61. CBRE announced Wednesday that Kodak has renewed a contract for the company to continue as its North and Latin American real estate transaction management services provider. The agreement extends a 15-year relationship under which CBRE oversees approximately 39 million square feet of Kodak properties throughout the United States, Latin America, and Canada.

Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR) shares increased 0.81% to finish up at a closing price of $33.60 per share. Equity Residential (EQR) is an integrated real estate company engaged in the acquisition, development, ownership, management and operation of multi-family properties. The Company is the general partner of ERP Operating Limited Partnership, an Illinois limited partnership (the Operating Partnership).

Thursday: Stocks held rather tight ranges in negative territory most of the session, on the heels of higher oil prices and mixed economic data, but a late day drubbing, exacerbated by a GM warning, erased anything positive. The Nasdaq and the Dow suffered equal percentage losses (-1.05%), while the S&P 500 lost -0.86%.
