If we assume the float is around 400m and the price action we get on buying pressure supports this, then we have a low float.
If we also take into account that just 4 of us hold over 100m shares, then you have a situation where the float is very tight, and mostly locked up. The Market Makers know this, and they also know based on what is coming this is going to explode when we get exposure and new money in here.
MM's want to hold inventory in securities that have potential, and don't want it with securities that don't (they just want to match up orders) I'm not talking about the axe, I'm talking about all the others. The axe has to have inventory because they are responsible for making the market.
My theory is that they have walked us down by using bid whacking and intentional fills at the bid to shake loose shares. the lower we go, the more shares they get but here is the catch.
They can't get any more shares than the longs will let go, and I would bet even at these levels we have more than half the float tied up.
Just something to consider. If it's right, it very bullish.
