There is no real answer, only real opinions. Mine is that some investors believe that this company will survive after the crooks are jailed. IMO investors are putting their faith in the fact that they believe the product has a chance of surviving through all the turmoil.
Now, is this a good reason to be investing in a company? I think you can answer that yourself.
