I'm far from being an expert... I'm super new at this but I bet the volume died off abit because everyone recognizes the manipulation going on and is just waiting it out a bit. If I had to make a best guesstimate I would say the MM's aren't making any money off the spread because noones buying in right now so they switched sides for awhile to move the price back up and pull some volume in... any takers?
