Calgon Carbon Awarded U.S. Army Air Filtration Contract
Calgon Carbon Corporation (NYSE: CCC) announced today that it has been awarded a federal contract by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, Illinois, for general purpose air filtration machinery. The contract is valued at a minimum of $1.9 million with a potential value of $5.1 million over a period of three years.
Calgon Carbon has over fifteen years of experience in supplying filter housings and "V"-bed activated carbon filters for indoor air purification, industrial air purification and military applications.
Commenting on this announcement, Robert O’Brien, Calgon Carbon’s executive vice president of the Americas said, “We are pleased that the U.S. Army Contracting Command chose Calgon Carbon for this particular air filtration product.
