Let the buying begin.

I am very disappointed in iWorks. Don't see a spreadsheet or database app on the Apple page about it. Guess they don't want to offer it or alienate Microsoft. I have Office, so it is no biggie, but having office I sure will not buy iWorks. Will look at it the next time I buy a Mac.

The Mac mini seems, at first blush, a good switchers machine. They already have a monitor and a keyboard, for $499 they have OS X, iLife, Appleworks, whatever other software they throw on it - and a compute to run it on. Should be tantilizing and tempting and I think it should sell well.

The flashPod. Holy cow. How many of those puppies will they sell?

Those are all my off the top of the head comments for now. I like the hardware side of things. I will probably buy iLife 05 if it will run competently on a sub 1ghz G4. If there are reports of sluggishness, I may wait a year or two until I get it on a new Mac. I will not buy iWorks. I will not buy a mini Mac. I may buy a 1 gig flashPod for Kathy.

Other folks, OTOH, should buy a lot of this stuff
