David Letter is actually the owner of Worldwide Pants, which is also run by Rubenstein. I am sure this was nothing other than Rubenstein requesting a favor from the Letterman show. It happens all the time. That is why they are so good at their job... connections! IT WAS GREAT PUBLICITY, but don't overindulge in WHAT was exactly said. Everything Dave said was what he was told to say, it wasn't that the writers at the Letterman show really thought that QBID was a great company (no offense or anything, I am not bashing), it was likely put in because WE PAY RUBENSTEIN. This means we are spending our money in the right way. The Letterman show is not solely loyal to Viacom, they have on competing guests all the time (If Frank were on, that wouldn't mean Logo or here! wasn't going be huge). Watch the show sometime and you will see the most random guests come on, it is all a PR stunt. Nearly every guest comes on the show for positive publicity. Either way, this was an excellent way to get some wonderful publicity, too bad for the MM's, they won't be able to hold us down forever!
