I believe the 5 min has more to do directly with the thickness of the slices. The amount of radiation is relative to the time of the scan. The studies were referring to "CT scans". DVis is real time floroscopy as I understand it ergo much less radiation but still relative to on/off pedal time. There was no mention of radiation exposure or image quality in the links.

It was just my WAG as to if they were actually our DVis machines.
