Anyone Remember Mexico’s Ixtoc I Spill?
We were wondering, given all the hysteria about the BP oil leak, why don’t we hear it compared to some of the other oil spills in history, besides the Exxon Valdez.

I don't know what to believe anymore. It seems everything is blown into a huge catastrophe. I wonder if people in the gulf and the affected areas would be a little less stressed if the press actually compared the current spill with one that is over and done with, rather than constantly saying how "unprecedented" this event is.

Seems like unprecedented it the new word of the decade.
