Its critical to have level 2 if you are trading pennies. you can see the games being played. The problem is most dont and all they look at is the price, and worse yet on delay with no live quotes.

This leads people to panic just like we saw yesterday for a bit. They dropped the bid from .047 to .04 on 333 shares. Some knuckelheads saw the big drop and started dumping, feeding right into the MM's hands. This happens very often and 2 minutes later the price starts going up with those cheap shares.

Anyway, thought i would throw that out there for any newbs.
