I hope I am not reading this wrong! I am putting some serious weight to the use the verbiage "there may well be..." in the following sentence:

"there may well be recovery available for holders of Chemtura's common stock."

It doesn't sound like table scraps to me!


Chemtura also expects that the plan will provide for payment of creditors in the form of cash or common stock in a reorganized, publicly traded company. While there can be no guarantee regarding the value or type of recovery available to any class of creditors or interest holders under the plan, it is anticipated that creditors will be paid at or near the full value of their claims and there may well be recovery available for holders of Chemtura's common stock. Chemtura continues to discuss the specifics of the plan with its stakeholders, including the valuation of reorganized Chemtura, the specific form of consideration that will be available to various types of constituencies and the funding of such consideration.
