Deconstructing SSC, ERHC, and my new best friend, the outlier person.

SSC, I'm sure you hate hearing how now, I **like** you more than ever, and might even consider you a friend. Why?

Well, I guess in some ways I'm a contrarian when it comes to human beings as much as you are a contrarian when it comes to investments.

Because your style of investing can be deconstructed into two basic tenets:

1) Contrarian - believes that most of the yahoos investing in OTC stocks are wrong.

2) Believer in what the share price is saying - leading up to the AGM the share price was heading south, indicating that despite a huge drill campaign, the insiders were not buying.

However, short of the two methods above, there is no way you could have accurately predicted the outcome of the AGM, unless you worked for Sinopec, which I'm sure you do not.

ERHC could've easily come out and said the words "thermogenic gas" and the stock would have gone up like gangbusters, and you would've surely lost money on your short. In fact I hope one day ERHC does surprise in a way that burns all the shorts to kingdom come, lol.

But, I will give credit to you in your contrarian way, because up until now, my outlier friend, you were just a curmudgeon or permabear. Someone who was always down on an investment, possibly to get under the skin of the longs, and just as a broken clock is right twice a day, you were surely to be right by being down.

But now things have changed in my view of your style. You are not a curmudgeon or permabear, because you are suggesting the contrarian view that when longs, like me (and by the way I'm not your typical long, lol), do 180 degree changes, then is the time to buy the stock. To buy the stock! That does not a curmudgeon make.

However, I will make one comment. In real life, I am guessing you don't care for people too much, since you know exactly when to make fun of the longs when things are going up, and then ask for accolades and pat yourself on the back when you were right, at exactly the time when you shouldn't be from a social skills perspective.

But guess what? I like you. smile and you're just going have to live with that.
