Whoa! We are actually mentioned in an article
in Wikinvest -
http://www.wikinvest.com/industry/Solar_Power

Here's the quote:

A new nanotechnology based approach using Tetrapod Quantum Dots (TQ-Dots) is under development by companies such as Solterra Renewable Technologies. It is an economical alternative to replace the silicon wafer based solar cells with flexible TQ-Dot solar cells. The cells will not need an external cooling source to keep from overheating or have the silicon disposal problem at the end of service life. TQ-Dot solar cells convert the sun light into useable electricity from multiple excitons instead of heat and have the advantage of generating electricity from UV and infrared wavelengths allowing generation 24/7.[60]

I have not paid attention to the low-heat advantage, or the non-silicon disposal problem compared to silicon wafer technology.

The all-wavelength capability has been mentioned many times.
TQD have capability to work at night from UV absorption, and in low light cloudy days, and the Infrared absorption is suited for thermal waste heat absorption from all kinds of furnaces. If we just did waste heat thermal TQD cells imagine what a difference QMC could make in the world. How about absorbing heat from the exhaust pipe of a hybrid car to help generate electricity, extending the time between needed charges?

AND the Multiple Exciton Generation (MEG) is a constant in all functions, generating up to 7 electrons for one energy unit or photon. The Tetrapod is the perfect shape for MEG. One large difference between "nanoparticle polymers" and TQD is MEG. TQD
is a QD that generates MEG naturally without manipulation or additional metals or layers. I read about multilayer solar cells with improved efficiency every day. The day that Solterra produces a tandem layer TQD solar cell will be the day that the industry gets behind Solterra. Imagine MEG Times MEG, from 1 to 7, then from 7 to 49! I can dream, can't I? It could happen! LOL
