To shiznit013: Unfortunately, in most bankruptacies the common shares become worthless with the common shareholders having no rights except if you want to wallpaper your den with your shares.Or, if you find yourself in need of toilet paper.

When the company emerges from bankruptcy they most always, most always issue totally new shares with the prior common shareholders having no rights even to the new shares unless they purchase shares like everyone else.

You need to check this out very careful.
