Don't rely on the SEC to do much of anything even if there is something to look into and I still feel the jury is out on that one.

Back in the 80's I was working on acquiring a real estate syndicator and during the due diligence process we discovered that they have taken quite a bit of money out of a public partnership. Had the books and records to prove it, went to the SEC with the proof and they said, "You know if you can get the CFO or Controller to come here and tell us what they did we'd get right on this, otherwise it's just going to be too much work for the size of the crime." Needless to say, if you expect the SEC to pay any attention or do anything (if anything even needs to be done) don't hold your breath.
