I finally took the time last night and called Juan in Santiago.

We had a long and interesting conversation. And while I would love to post all the highlights I have told Juan that I would keep most of the information to myself. I know that shrieks of BS on my part but I still said that I would keep it from public dissemination.

What I will tell you is to reconfirm things we already knew:

__we are dealing with some of the biggest mining companies in the world.
__we will get no further updates at this time until he post news about the JV. He is concerned that information could be leaked that will cause us to lose a deal and he intimated there are penalties built into the talks should that happen.
__I told him I had heard that we had received 4 offers( I had heard that yesterday)and he refused to confirm or deny.
__he pointed out to me that Escondida and another large mine had taken over 15 years to come to fruition....and no he didn't say it was going to take that long.
__as for a time line it was obvious to me that he did not want to get drug into that because of past performance on his part about how long it would take. My view is don't think it's happening "next week".

There are several more tidbits he offered but he asked that I not share those and I won't. Quite frankly I am not sure how much of those things he told me will ever come to fruition so it is best to dampen conversation about non starters just to keep it simple.

What I have told you is nothing more or less than the sum of all the BS that has been posted on these boards for the last 60 days since Greg and Les returned from Chile. I have simply put that BS into quantifiable form. In short, Juan is working very hard at it and will tell you about it when he finishes.

And one other thing if anybody tells you they know more than anybody else they are sadly mistaken or just plain lying to you.
