You then go on to say that the leak is the equivilent in 5 days to Valdez. Where do you come up with that brilliant estimate. Was that because someone said they estimated that BP's estimated was wrong. Give me a break.

I don't want to sound rude but you sound silly. To challenge my "brilliant estimate" with cynicism when you've done no research is down right closed minded. That fact is fact and I see no need in debating you on it.

Who do you want them to hire? And what the frig would they do?

Here are literally just a few of dozens of oil cleanup for hire companies that BP could outsource some work to. This assistance can double, triple, or quadruple the speed of the cleanup effort depending on how much BP is willing to spend. What do I want them to do???? Spend a whole lot more money over a short period of time to cleanup rapidly instead of keeping the effort stricktly in house.

This is an terrible accident that will be taken care of. Why don't I hear the same complaints when year after year the whackjobs in Calif burns a couple hundred thousand acres of timberland, killing every creature in its path.

Again, another apples to oranges comparison. California forest fires is a topic for another discussion and really has no bearing on our conversation topic, whatsoever. I stand by my opinion that BP can and should be doing much more. For the record, I am neither a tree hugger or a anti-war save the whales protester. I am a continued Republican supporter and I am downright unsatisfied as are many very intelligent people I've spoken to outside this forum who agree with me on this.

As Dew sometimes puts it, "you can have the last word on this."
