What does their income have anything to do with what they are spending at this point? Do you think there's something that they could do that they aren't?

Are you serious? How about hiring more help from outside environmental cleanup organizations? The spewing oil is still not contained and every 5 days it gushes the equivelent of The Exxon Valdez disaster into the Gulf, all over again. This disaster was precipitated by the need to reduce costs at the expense of safety and now the same cost containment efforts are underway with the clean-up.

Have you lowered your consumption?

Yes sir, we have as a family. Many examples I wont go in to, but yes. However, I don't see how the two are closely related since paying consumers are far less responsible for drill site saftey than the Big Oil corporate profiteers are themselves.
