You are correct. The GOM disaster will have significant effect upon future drilling throughout the world. Yes, it will lead to higher costs to meet higher standards.

As for how higher costs would effect ERHE, as mentioned by another poster: The more the cost getting the oil, the less the profit for ERHE. That is assuming there ever is a profit, which is extremely questionable. Do other posters not realize they announced tehy did not find oil???? Hello....

Add in the price of oil falling, and things are not looking good.
