]My greyhound Patrick..(recently passed at age 16)....
We went to pick up a foster. The facility was a horse barn, but had been converted to take care of Greyhounds as soon as they got off the track. There were 10-12 dogs there.
We arrived right at turn-out time. All the dogs were runnin' and rompin' in the inside arena...except one little black/white one...who just stayed by himself in the corner, watching..
Every few minutes, he'd bolt over, do a circle around us, then run back to his corner. We couldn't get him to come over when we called...The little girl 'Amy' that we were supposed to foster just climbed all over us to play..Typical greyhound.
Comes time to leave, and we're all walking back into the kennel area. They put the leash on Amy and hand it to us. The bring the b/w guy in...he just looks at us, and jumps up into his kennel with a BIG sigh...turns his head away...
The wife and I look at each other, hand Amy's leash back to the kennel owner and said "we'll take that one..he needs us more".
His racing name was Chaoitc Addict. Uhm...no. By the time we got home, his name was Patrick. And he was with us for 13 years :)))) We miss him.
