.....and it is just as safe at sea..as long as you are not in mile deep water.
In the Gulf there is plenty of Oil to be drilled at 500 feet deep.
Plenty safe and long proven. The problem is being over 5,000 feet.
The problem with being in a safe depth of water is "not in my back yard" or "not within view of my condo" syndrome.
We also have the Green thinking people wanting Wind mills promoted in which I agree may be a good idea. The same will protest when it is in view of their Condo, Cottage or Mansion.
This is a fact. My opinon is simply to make a choice of safe drilling and independence or unsafe drilling and risk what we have just witnessed.
Bring the rigs in at 500' depth and you will not have problems.
