Yes. It is common. It gives Master Card and Visa time to evaluate and to decide if they believe they owe SMME. It's almost always a heck of a lot cheaper to offer SMME a settlement than to drag it out and take it to court. If they did wrong (and all indications are that they did) they will pay SMME a WHOLE BUNCH of money...get it over with and move on. Then both card companies will need to beg SMME for a cheap price to continue using thier product...LOL! All IMHO.
