The main selling point for the big boys is the laser is tunable. Anyone who knows electrical engineering that is a huge plus... and that,in my opinion, is why the Dazer is eye safe. And best of all LEI owns the patent!

Yes DD is necessary, but having knowledge of the technology doesn't hurt either. LEI's tunable laser runs cooler also.
