Houston, TX — (BUSINESS WIRE) — 10 Feb 2006 — Positron Corporation (OTCBB:POSC - News), manufacturer of positron emission tomography (PET) scanners, announced today that it recently received governmental approval from the People's Republic of China for a joint venture with Neusoft Medical Systems in Shenyang, China. Business for the joint venture called Neusoft-Positron Corporation Co., Ltd. officially commenced on January 18, 2005 with an opening ceremony at the new office in Shenyang, China. Neusoft-Positron Corporation will manufacture all of Positron's PET and PET/CT systems.

In June 2004, Neusoft Medical Systems took a strategic step to form a joint venture with Philips Medical Systems. The joint venture, Philips and Neusoft Medical Systems Co., Ltd.(PNMS) serves as the R&D and manufacturing base for CT, MRI, X-ray and Ultrasound imagers.
