I'm simply stating the fact that asking if the stove was hot is the due diligence and if you decided to touch it after believing what the cook said and got burnt, next time I would ask more questions before sticking my hand on the burner. The question and answer is due diligence, whether or not you believe the answer (right or wrong) is up to you. Of course that is my interpretation of it and how I end up drawing my conclusions. mAybe thats why im not rich yet idk lol.
