Valleyboi0 has been posting the short numbers for the last few days. There has been a ton of short sales; thus, for a lot of 'investors', there is a strong desire to kill this off so they can make money from their short positions. IMHO, short sales on the big boards are fine (and even there, shorts are supposed to be used for hedging, not price manipulation). Again, IMHO, down here in pinkyland, short sales should not be allowed as it is much too easy for price manipulation to occur, with the end result often being that both small companies and small investors get slaughtered. Of course, I'm not holding my breath that shorting will be banned...
