No intellectuals here.

Haven't seen the Hurricane, but plan to. Denzil is always powerful.

Paul Neuman has mostly stayed away from the "fluff" and was fortunate and wise enough to land roles like Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler, The Verdict, Absence of Malice, Butch Cassidy, etc. He is very very good. Somewhat painful, but provocative films. Haven't seen Cool Hand Luke in a long time. Must rent it soon.

Ordinary People was a film I saw a number of times when it came out. That Redford is quite a director. Many of us are hooked on the Spagetti Westerns and don't forget Kelly's Heroes, the Dirty Dozen, or Dirty Harry. Now there's some guy films.

Field of Dreams definitely special as is Dances with Wolves.

Favorite actors I must include Jack Nicholson, Anthony Hopkins, K. Spacey, Kenneth Branaugh for Shaksepere (Henry V is terrific), Richard Burton, Peter O'Toole, C.Gable, C.Grant, S. Tracy, H. Bogart; I think Donald Sutherland hasn't got near the credit he deserves. (Klute is a classic) Same with Laurence Fishburn although that may be changing. Sorry, but the list goes on and on.

Actresses: More recent ones are of course M. Streep, Glen Close, Kristin Scott Thomas, Juliette Binoche. From yesteryear: I won't go into at this time although it's hard to overlook K. and A. Hepburn.

There were a lot of good actors and actresses in the golden age of films.
