They didn't go on sale until April 3, so how could it be 7 weeks?

Adding in the pre-order period is kind of silly.

Would you say that nobody went to see Disney's latest movie for months, because they announced it years before it hit the theater? What do you do with the sale if I buy a ticket in advance through Fandango? What counts isn't when you pay, but when your butt hits the theater seat.

Nobody in the serious world measures anything in the fashion that Thurrott labors to present.
