Stupid question that might have been addressed. How are there not copyright issues with playing songs that I don't own? Does hypster just build a database of songs from youtube and other free sources for direct access via their search?

It looks quite promising but I don't want a band like Metallica (and their fight with Napster) come around and shut it down.

I did pick up a decent amount of shares so I'm all for this exploding.
