Yes....the checks and balances put in place by the FAA when it comes to aircraft maintenance prevent "junkyard" parts from being installed on aircraft....helicopter, fixed wing, or otherwise. Sign offs by inspectors, documentation of fixes, parts installed, etc. prevent this very scenario. Too much liability if you do anything less.

You guys posting this misinformation need to stop and get your facts straight.......understand? You make it sound like the aviation industry has zero standards......what a crock!!

If I thought "junkyard" parts had been installed on my 767 before leaving the gate, I'd walk off the jet with my passengers and crew in tow!
