1) Possibly they are just brokers for green tech projects, and just match the clients to the producers? This is from the about us page...
Projects in the past have included the brokering of diverse deals on refinery technology projects and oil exploration deals in Asia. Our implementation of the latest technology and management systems could help thousands of green projects globally.
2) There seems to be an emphasis on waste-to-energy on the site. Possibly we are plugged into a WTE project in which the algae will use (and clean) waste water?
From the "waste to energy" page...
By-products of combustion will be recycled on-site in the manufacture of building bricks, eliminating waste and its disposal problems
3) The following page intrigues me. And to me, indicates that Gruppo is indeed a broker, as they mention using "advanced algae closed loop system to produce high quality algae products" ... obviously if they had their own, they wouldn't need us.
I wonder if they own any other part of the process in the diagram, or just take a cut off the top for each part of the project.
