Jeff Scrull of Addax, formerly of Chevron where he drilled OBO-1, has said that in this deep water a field would be commercial at 300M barrels.

There are several "prospects" whose estimates far exceed that number, and the JDZ estimates as a whole are many billions of barrels.

Surely hand wringing about commercial or not *shouldn't* be such a prominent topic. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that billions of barrels will be produced from the JDZ, many billions.

Consider this... if they came out and said they think they have a 10B barrel find on their hands, what would the reaction of the host nations be?

Think: "With such a big find we need a higher tax and royalty rate"

The discoveries must be downplayed. For how long is anyone's guess.
