12:39 ET CIBC says semi estimates still need to be trimmed : The SOX (+3.7%) is shrugging off a cautious morning comment from CIBC, which said that expectations for 2003 will have to be trimmed to discount a "reasonable" slow growth, single-digit scenario; firm's expectations remain one of muted seasonality in semi mkts and muted cyclicality in semi equipment mkts with no major signs of deviation through year-end.
