What you just did is point out the exception to the rule and justify your premise on the assumption that all the short volume can be described like that. Yes, the events you point out do transpire, but most of the short volume is not derived from that process.


I would not be suggesting a short squeeze is imminent and the datasheet can be misleading.
However if we use the data and combine it with other stock indicators a more proper image can be derived. Both the ACCUM/DIST and the CMF have been going up signifying money flowing in to CTDH. At the same time the price has dropped from the 52 week high. We can agree that CTDH is not dumping new shares on the market which leaves only one conclusion.

Yes, options are not as transparent as trades fortunately if you know what to look for it becomes more clear.

(Before people post " well, it is just investors taking profit" I will refer you back to the ACCUM/DIST and point out that if people took profit the chart would have stabilizer or dropped.)
