While I do not often speak of such things, I don't think it is too far fetched to argue that if this DNA medicine gets off the ground, it would represent an important advance in human history on account of its ramifications. The way I see it, God wants us to figure things out, to make things better for ourselves and our fellow human beings. That is why we were given the abilities we have.
