SAN DIEGO, Sep 10, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- New Visual Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: NVEI), an emerging provider of semiconductors to the high-speed data networking industry, today announced that together with Adaptive Networks, Inc., it has applied for patents on its core technology, enabling data to be transmitted at greater speeds over longer distances using regular copper telephone wire.
These applications for patents formalize the provisional patent application that was filed in 2001, and contain more than two hundred claims. Core concepts and technologies described in the patents cover new ways of handling the time-varying and dynamic characteristics of noise and applying wideband modulation for the delivery of high-speed communications over heavily-distorted channels such as telephone wiring. The company plans to exploit these innovative techniques to build semiconductors capable of delivering high-speed signals out to greater distances than previously achieved by other known solutions.

New Visual and Adaptive Networks are co-applicants of these patents.
