Wait, I think I'm finally getting it!

So...the company has no money. (Can't afford 690k for a buyback. Which, I'm sure is less than the lawyer retainer for a $110 million deal.) Soon they will sell their greatest asset and give the gross income to the shareholders. And in the end the company will have no money or any assets. These are the nicest guys on the planet!
