Buying long or selling short helps keep market flow. If I think Penn National is overvalued, I should have the right to sell short PENN stock.
I would love someone to naked short my company. I would take the proof of excessive share sales into any investment banker, obtain a cash loan, and use the cash to crush a short with a large cash dividend. I would also sue each brokerage for not enforcing the Customer Protection Rule.
Better yet, stay away from stinky pinkies who routinely are caught lying about their supposed operations and make foolish excuses while diluting their share structure.
In order to technically be a "company", you kind of need actual operations with actual incoming revenues that can be verified.
