You forget to mention the price per barrel of oil in the 80s in comparison to 2010, the depreciation of the dollar from then to now, and not to mention iraq is sitting on a gold mine as well.. fyi.. if you want to include all the facts...
how about the trillions of the dollars we are printing this year..... and the next... and the next..........
