MERC article is interesting and implies it should do well in current qtr, but I saw at bottom of page that Shapiro is short MERC. I guess he intends to liquidate or hold the position until pulp prices start falling precipitously.

"Disclosure: Author is long MERC 8.5% convertible sub debt due Jan 2012 and is short MERC common stock. Author may buy or sell either of these securities at any time."

Right now I'm very happy to be in Tembec instead.
