Not much in the media on this project any more but saw this from a few days ago. April 17th 2010 MESSENGER-INQUIRER, OWENSBORO, KY.


"Newman said attracting businesses gets tougher all the time.

"Everybody has the same thing to offer," he said. "We'd like to have an IBM to move into Muhlenberg County, but we're starting to focus on the people we already have, and maybe energize those industries and help them grow.

"It's not that we don't want more to come here, but I would like to see us focus on the resources we have and expand those opportunities."

Newman pointed to the two energy projects announced in Muhlenberg County last year as progress. Fuel Frontiers Inc. will build a coal-to-diesel fuel plant, and ConocoPhillips and Peabody Energy Corp. will build a coal-to-synthetic natural gas conversion plant."
