Guess I don't understand the "bottom fishing". I understand "extremal picking" - i.e. waiting until "indications" are that the market is at a local extreme before entering a trade. But why preferentially select bottoms over tops - especially if the primary trend is bearish? If the idea is buy low and sell high, why should it matter which side of the trade comes first?
