I have a lot of shares. I have all of them on a "good until cancel" sell order with a high price. By SEC rules these shares have to be put aside for the sale and cannot be used for anything else. If everyone would do that on Monday morning we would put a huge strain, maybe even a little pain, on the short sellers that are borrowing shares to sell. If we got really lucky it could even force premature buying and push the price up. Oh my gosh did I write it could go UP.
