Blockbuster (BBI: news, chart, profile) shares got an initial bump but they were unchanged recently at $9.67 after the company announced a reduction in monthly rental fees by $2.50 to $14.99.

The announcement, however, cut Netflix (NFLX: news, chart, profile) shares by $1.14, or 9 percent, to $11.46.
