Trenching and prospecting work noted an abrupt change in the strike of the auriferous deformation zone and the strike of the contact between the altered mafic volcanics and the adjoining sediments. Sampling of the structurally complex area along two 1.75 m long channels spaced 4.0 m apart returned assay results of 18.1, 1.1, 1.0 g/t Au over consecutive widths of 0.25, 0.50 and 1.00 m, respectively and 23.6, 8.6, 0.4 g/t Au over consecutive widths of 0.25, 0.50 and 1.00 m, respectively. Drilling was planned.

Fort Knox Gold and Northway report that trenching and prospecting work on the Twi-Lite gold property in Newfoundland has located a structurally complex target area along a 1,500 m long auriferous shear zone. A follow-up program consisting of surface sampling and drilling is planned for early October.

Fort Knox Gold Resources Inc. and Northway Explorations Limited - Geological Mapping On The Twi-Lite Gold Property In Newfoundland Outlines New Drill Targets
Toronto, Ontario-October 4, 1999-
Fort Knox Gold Resources Inc. (FNX-TSE) and Northway Explorations Limited (NOW-TSE) announce that a recently completed geological mapping and trenching program on their Twi-Lite gold property has located surface gold mineralization in a newly recognized structurally complex area within a previously reported auriferous deformation zone. Trenching and sampling followed by diamond drilling is planned for the property this fall.
The Twi-Lite property is comprised of 190 mining claims totalling 9,500 hectares and is situated 15 km southwest of Grand Falls, Newfoundland. The property is subject to an option-to-purchase agreement, which grants Fort Knox, subject to a 3% NSR, the right to earn a 100% interest in the property. A subsequent, option/joint venture agreement between Fort Knox and Northway grants Northway the right to earn 50% of Fort Knox's
interest in the property.
Since late 1998, Fort Knox and Northway have conducted detailed prospecting, trenching, line cutting, geophysical surveys (IP, HLEM and magnetometer) and diamond drilling on the Twi-Lite property. This work delineated a 1500-meter long auriferous deformation zone localized at the contact between altered mafic volcanic flows and fine-grained clastic sedimentary rocks. Sampling and diamond drilling along and adjacent
to the deformation zone has identified gold mineralization in a variety of geological settings (see previous Fort Knox/Northway press releases dated; April 21 1999, March 23 1999 and January 25 1999).
In August 1999 a trenching and prospecting/geological mapping program noted an abrupt change in the strike of the auriferous deformation zone and the strike of the contact between the altered mafic volcanics and the adjoining sediments from 40 degrees to 315 degrees. This structurally complex area contains narrow quartz veined graphitic sediments and strongly carbonated, bleached and altered mafic volcanics. A previous grab
sample from this area assayed 37.0 g/t Au. Recent sampling along two 1.75 meter long channels spaced 4.0 meters apart returned assay results of 18.1, 1.1, 1.0 g/t Au over consecutive widths of 0.25, 0.50 and 1.00 meters, respectively and 23.6, 8.6, 0.4 g/t Au over consecutive widths of 0.25, 0.50 and 1.00 meters, respectively. The latter channel sample contains an average gold value of 14.5 g/t over the first 0.75 meters.
The recognition of the high-grade gold mineralization occurring at an abrupt change in the strike of the altered mafic volcanics and sediments within the auriferous deformation zone is potentially significant and warrants detailed follow-up. Such structural changes along auriferous deformation zones are excellent exploration targets in many gold mining camps throughout Canada.Fort Knox and Northway plan to carry out a program of trenching, channel sampling and diamond drilling starting in early October 1999. The trenching and sampling programs will be followed by a phased drill program consisting of 6 - 8 boreholes for a total of 1000 meters. The cost of the proposed trenching and
diamond drilling program, budgeted at $100,000, will be funded by Northway.
M.P. Lewis Geological Services has been retained by Fort Knox, the operator, to provide exploration services and supervision for all exploration conducted on the property. All assayed rock and core samples are processed at Eastern Analytical Limited's assay laboratory in Springdale, Newfoundland using the standard fire assay method.

Patrick
Everything seems to be going as planned and we are excited with the Handcamp thus far and believe we will continue to be excited as we move forward. The Twi-lite will also receive a very thorough exploration program this year as well. However, where we have advanced the Handcamp to the drill stage, right now it has become our main focus and as the exploration season unfolds the Twi-lite will get due attention. Thanks for supporting us, we are working hard on your behalf.

Hi K and brother Tim, I would instead say, MR. Stead's on your company. People are saying ....short this ...short that...but We want to let you know, there are those on who believe in what you have as far as properties.. Lucky, we know Vale wants the best of what you both have in form of copper and Rusty, well you know of the elements there. But on Handcamp, you , sorry for the language but , you all kicked but on it. VMS, quadrant by quadrant. If you don't mind, ccing your IR and such, the latest PR was just AWESOME, Just a big bubble of gold and zinc, and silver , and copper .

Any thoughts on Twilighte would be appreciated Handcamp is real as people are thinking but TWiLighT thoughts would be awesome.

if you don't believe how many people want you to succeed just check out the facebook page. I know you are busy but people believe in All of You
