.Mobi domain approved...how does this affect NEOM?

[From www.infosync.com (news)].

"ICANN, the body that oversees the core functionality of the Internet and is responsible for regulating top level domains or TLDs (such as .com, .net, and so forth), has approved two new TLDs including the controversial .mobi domain. Backed by a consortium of Microsoft, Nokia, and Vodafone, the .mobi domain is intended for web sites that are specifically designed for mobile devices. The approval comes despite the "father of the Web" Tim Berners-Lee and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) previously issuing a statement condemning the .mobi domain as contrary to the device-independent way that the Internet functions.

It is unclear how the new .mobi domain will be allocated by the registrar setup by Microsoft, Nokia, and Vodafone, including what the cost for a domain will be or who will be permitted to purchase them."
