Romance meets fantasy meets horror in The Wild Hunt, a breakthrough adrenaline rush award-winning film, starring some of the hottest emerging actors to hit this year’s festival.

In search of his girlfriend, Erik Magnusson finds himself drawn into a world of fantasy where hundreds of people in their 20s and 30s descend into the woods for days on end, transforming their existence into a full re-enactment of medieval times. In this parallel universe, cut-off in all manner from the contemporary world, men battle for the carnal rights of maids and everyone parties like its 1399.

As Erik fights to keep his sanity in this world he wants no part of, he inadvertently and irreparably disrupts the very delicate balance of the game. Passions are unleashed, rules are broken, and violence ensues as what seems to be a harmless game turns tragic and nightmarish.

An impressive young Canadian cast which includes Nicolas Wright from CBS's "Accidentally on Purpose" takes the viewer on an unprecedented journey as what might seem like comedy at first blush quickly descends into the heart of darkness.

What the Critics Are Saying
"If you are bored of conventional stories that lack originality, consider "The Wild Hunt" - a tasty Canadian treat to satisfy your creative cravings. With no surprise to its fans, this dark comedy/thriller, role-playing epic has already garnered three awards... - The Examiner

"The fantasy world of medieval re-enactment has its 'Straw Dogs' in 'The Wild Hunt,' a Canadian comedy-turned-thriller in which grown men (plus a woman or two) dress up as Celts and Vikings en route to going truly nuts. Those wearing black finger-polish are bound to appreciate it, but first-time feature director Alexandre Franchi deserves mainstream cred." - Variety

"9.5 out of 10 rating. The Wild Hunt really is exhilarating; full of laughter, drama and tragedy, building to a finale that will have you shaking your hand at Thor with a silent wish that he keeps you strong until you have the chance to see the film again. Yes, it's that good." - The Quiet Earth
